Whenever I feel that I am confused or that my life is in disorder, I remember these words from the book of Proverbs: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart … In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.”

These simple words reaffirm what I know in my heart is true: He is always with me, enfolding me in love and assuring me that all is in divine order. Divine order is His plan for me.

Relying on my Higher Power calms my thoughts. I feel secure because I know that He will lead me to the people and events which will contribute to my spiritual growth and fulfillment. All is in divine order because He is the order that supports and surrounds me.

Think back to a happy time in your life a really, really happy time. If you can, try to remember the happiest you’ve ever felt. Think of the laughter, the peace, the confidence, the ease of it all. Emotionally, relive a few of those moments. Don’t think of the details (people, places, or circumstances); just think of the way you felt.

Good. Very good. We’re just creating some building blocks for tomorrow and the rest of your amazing life.

It is easy just once a day, imagine the life you dream of. Believe that it can be yours in this world of magic and miracles. Choose to live as if you know of its inevitable manifestation. Don’t compromise. Don’t worry. Don’t look for results. And as surely as spirit crafts one moment after another, so too will it fuse together the life you now lead with the life of your dreams as if they were two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, destined to become one.

This alone determines what’s “meant to be.”

When I feel someone has not been honest or sincere about their feelings, I may feel that an opportunity has been missed. How cheated I feel.

Yet how exhilarated I feel when I share from my heart my honest and sincere feelings. My soul is lifted. I set the stage to be with someone who is open to listening and to talking about what comes from the heart and soul. That is participating in the communication of life.

What joy I feel when I allow others to know me and when I get to know them! I feel truly alive because I am more aware of the spirit within me. I am in tune with the heartbeat of the universe. How refreshed I feel to be aware that I have been touched by the heart of God.
