At the innermost depth of my mind and heart, His spirit resides. The gentle touch of divine Spirit sweeps over my soul, assuring me that whatever I need, He is the fulfillment.

Every beat of my heart reminds me of His love for me. As I allow my mind and body to relax in the sacred presence of His unconditional love, I begin to feel peaceful and at rest.

Gently, quietly, He speaks to me, and I relax into the calm of love and peace that is permeating every cell of my body.

My trust in Him is complete, for I know that, at the deepest level of my being, He and I are one. In that oneness, the love and peace, which are my spiritual heritage, will lead me in experiencing the wholeness of my life and my spirituality.

Let’s face it the world is a mess. God didn’t make it that way. We did. But until we realize that world change is not going to occur at the hands of governments or organized protests, the mess has no real chance of getting cleaned up. No election is going to save us. No new super power is going to make everything good again, and no war on anything is ever going to bring peace. Real and lasting change depends on people, not governments. It depends on people who are courageous enough to forgive their neighbors and love their enemies and look around them and see miracles everywhere. It depends on people who understand, as Mother Teresa did, that all works of love are works of peace.

It depends on you and me.

Today I sing “Let There Be Peace on Earth” through practical living and practice. I am a universal ambassador of peace.

Whenever I feel that I am confused or that my life is in disorder, I remember these words from the book of Proverbs: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart … In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.”

These simple words reaffirm what I know in my heart is true: He is always with me, enfolding me in love and assuring me that all is in divine order. Divine order is His plan for me.

Relying on my Higher Power calms my thoughts. I feel secure because I know that He will lead me to the people and events which will contribute to my spiritual growth and fulfillment. All is in divine order because He is the order that supports and surrounds me.

Think back to a happy time in your life a really, really happy time. If you can, try to remember the happiest you’ve ever felt. Think of the laughter, the peace, the confidence, the ease of it all. Emotionally, relive a few of those moments. Don’t think of the details (people, places, or circumstances); just think of the way you felt.

Good. Very good. We’re just creating some building blocks for tomorrow and the rest of your amazing life.
