“Love it or Learn from it.”
So simple. Yet it has taken me 54 years to distill my life’s learnings down to this one peace and joy filled phrase, this my new mantra.
“Love it or Learn from it.”
Repeated to myself until it becomes part of my conscious, unconscious and subconscious.
There are many other phrases which too are glorious stepping stones on wisdom’s paths…
- It takes one to know one.
- If you spot it you got it
- There is only love or fear
- God is Love
- You are always at choice
- and so on…
These too are all distillations of truth.
The beauty of “Love it or Learn from it” is that it is about as short a phrase as anyone without context can grasp which encompasses the entirety of living at peace and joy and all the processes between where we are and in arriving at the total peace and joy only the grace of total love can provide.
Why?
Well, if you are in a place of loving it, truly loving it, what ever the totality of your it is, then you are at total peace and or joy, in those instants of love, to the extent that your love is total.
If you are not totally loving it, if you realize that your lack of total love is the kernel of a mighty seed of a lesson, which will grow to envelope and perhaps even devour your life, to the extent that you are not totally loving it, even as you struggle to hold onto it, until you learn to love it, or to leave it be gently and completely, what ever this particular ‘it’ is will be your lesson.
Everything is either joyous peaceful love, or a lesson allowing you to learn to experience joyous peaceful love.
If you just remember this phrase, “Love it or Learn from it,” and are mindful when you are not in a place of complete love, that there is some subconscious, unconscious or conscious lesson for you, by remember that whatever is coming up or is being pressed down is a lesson for you, by this very conscious act of realizing that this is part of your lesson for you, you will already begin to heal, by being now mindful of and now grateful this lesson arising for you.
Ok, grateful may be a leap for some of us, or for some difficult lessons now arising.
It is only a tiny leap if you know and believe that “Love it or Learn from it” is true.
If you believe this statement true, and you are not loving it, you know that the lesson, once learned from, will lead to more loving. More loving, YAY !!
Therefore, lesson = good. YAY !!
Thus,
Love = Good
and
Lesson = Good
So, IT’S ALL GOOD !!
YAY!!
If you have ever experienced true loving, you know that in true loving there is pure peace and joy.
If you have not experienced pure loving, and have perhaps only experienced say the passions of “romantic love,” I might as well be trying to explain to you what chocolate tastes like if you have never tasted chocolate.
First, you must taste love. You must experience love. When you experience love, the kind of love which is pure love. Love of spirit. Lovingly accepting and allowing and in gratitude of what is, needing and expecting nothing in return except the pure experience of loving…
Until you have tasted the chocolate of love, I cannot describe it to you in a way you will understand it.
The thing is, we have all experienced love, even if it is God’s love. While we have all experienced this love, we have not all been conscious of this experience.
This journey to peace and joy is about learning to consciously experience love; and, to consciously know when we are not in a place of total loving acceptance and allowance; and when in these places less than totally loving, shifting either into or toward total love, or knowing the experience is a lesson, accepting and learning our lesson from a place of gratitude and allowance.
Knowing our lack of love is a lesson in learning to love provides us the degree of understanding, all the degree we need, to learn to love and be grateful for the lesson itself.
And so it goes.
